ServiceCore ("we," "us," or "our") operates the ServiceCore field service management platform (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect information about you and your business when you use the Service. By using ServiceCore, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

We are committed to protecting the privacy of our users and their customers. This policy applies to all users of the Service, including company owners, dispatchers, and technicians.

Account and Business Information
When you register, we collect your name, email address, password (hashed), company name, and the type of services your business offers (e.g., HVAC, plumbing, electrical, refrigeration).

Team Member Information
If you invite technicians or other staff, we collect their names, email addresses, and phone numbers on your behalf.

Customer Data
You may enter your customers' names, email addresses, phone numbers, and service addresses into the Service. This data is entered by you and belongs to you.

Operational Data
We collect and store work orders, job statuses, schedules, quotes, invoices, labor logs, materials, notes, and photos that you and your team create within the Service.

Payment Information
Payment processing is handled by Stripe. We do not store your full credit card number, CVV, or bank account details. We receive limited billing data from Stripe, such as the last four digits of your card and billing address.

Usage Data
We automatically collect information about how you interact with the Service, including log data, IP addresses, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps. This data is used to maintain, improve, and secure the Service.

Device and Technical Data
Technicians using the mobile web app may transmit device type and browser information. We do not collect GPS location data unless explicitly provided by the user.

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and maintain the Service
• Process payments and manage subscriptions
• Send transactional emails (work order notifications, invoices, confirmations)
• Respond to your support requests and communications
• Monitor and improve the performance, reliability, and security of the Service
• Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information or your customers' information to third parties. We do not use your data to train AI or machine learning models for third parties.

Service Providers
We share data with trusted third-party vendors who help us operate the Service, including:

• Supabase — database hosting and authentication
• Stripe — payment processing
• Resend — transactional email delivery
• Vercel — application hosting and infrastructure

These providers are bound by contractual obligations to keep your data confidential and use it only to provide their services to us.

Legal Requirements
We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental authority, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of ServiceCore, our users, or others.

Business Transfers
If ServiceCore is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of its assets, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you via email prior to your data being subject to a different privacy policy.

We retain your account data and operational data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your subscription, your data is retained for 30 days, after which you may request an export. Following that period, we may permanently delete your data from our systems.

Some data (such as billing records) may be retained longer where required by law or for legitimate business purposes such as dispute resolution and fraud prevention.

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (TLS/HTTPS), encrypted storage, access controls, and regular security reviews. Authentication is managed by Supabase, which follows best practices for credential management.

However, no system is completely secure. We cannot guarantee the absolute security of your data. In the event of a data breach that is likely to result in harm to you, we will notify you as required by applicable law.

Access and Correction
You may access and update your account information at any time from your account settings. If you need help correcting inaccurate information, contact us at support@servicecore.tech.

Data Export
You may request an export of your data at any time by contacting support. We will provide your data in a common machine-readable format within a reasonable timeframe.

Account Deletion
You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us. Upon verification, we will delete your personal data subject to any legal retention requirements.

Marketing Communications
We do not send marketing emails without your consent. Transactional emails (billing receipts, support responses, system notifications) are not subject to opt-out, as they are necessary for the operation of the Service.

If you store your customers' personal information in ServiceCore, you are the data controller for that data and we act as a data processor on your behalf. You are responsible for ensuring you have the appropriate legal basis to collect and process your customers' personal data, and for informing them about how their information is used.

Payment transactions are processed by Stripe, Inc. When you or your customers make payments through the Service, data is transmitted to Stripe according to their privacy and security standards. Stripe is a PCI-DSS-compliant payment processor. For more information, see Stripe's Privacy Policy.

The Service uses session cookies and local storage to maintain your logged-in state and user preferences (such as dark mode). We do not use third-party advertising cookies or cross-site tracking. We may use privacy-respecting analytics tools to understand aggregate usage patterns and improve the Service.

The Service is intended for business use by adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a minor, we will delete it promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. When we do, we will update the Effective Date at the top of this page and notify registered users by email. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
